Academic Scholarship

DV HIMSS Scholarship for Undergraduate Students in Healthcare & Technology

The Delaware Valley Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (DV HIMSS) offers a $5,000 scholarship to support students pursuing careers in healthcare sciences, allied health, technology, medical informatics, healthcare management, and healthcare public policy.

Eligibility Criteria

A resident of or attending school in the Delaware Valley/Greater Philadelphia region
Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in a relevant field
Taking at least six (6) credit hours in the semester of the award
At least a first-term junior in Fall 2025
Not currently serving on a HIMSS board
Willing to serve as a DV HIMSS student liaison

How to Apply

Complete the application form with:

- A 500-word essay applying your knowledge to improve healthcare quality, efficiency, and cost.
- One or more letters of recommendation from a peer, colleague, manager, or professor
- Resume or curriculum vitae
