DVHIMSS 2026 Board of Directors Election

The Delaware Valley HIMSS Chapter has begun accepting nominations for prospective candidates to serve on the 2026-2028 Board of Directors. This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership to the Delaware Valley Chapter in support of our membership, educational, and advocacy programs. Benefits of board membership include:

 

Professional growth opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of the healthcare IT industry through close collaboration with other Board members, committees, and the membership at large.

Volunteering opportunities to give back to the community and share individual healthcare IT knowledge and skills with others.

Networking and relationship-building opportunities with key contributors to the healthcare IT community throughout the region.

 

Eight (8) board seats are available this year.  Directors are elected to serve a two (2) year term.  Positions filled in this election will serve from July 2026 to June 2028. The ideal candidate should be a person who currently serves in a leadership role and is willing and committed to serving in an active capacity on the board. Eligibility criteria for nomination include the following requirements:

·       Must be an active HIMSS member and a registered member of the Delaware Valley Chapter for at least one year.

·       Must have attended at least one chapter function in the past 12 months from the date of this call for nominations. This includes webinars hosted by DVHIMSS over the last year.

·       Not currently serving on the board of directors for another HIMSS chapter.

·       Not currently serving on the HIMSS national board of directors.

·       The Nominating Committee invites members to submit qualified names or themselves for consideration.

 

The following comprises a complete nomination packet that must be submitted by May 22, 2026 (by 11:59 p.m. EST), to be considered for nomination:

Paragraph summary of the candidate’s professional background, current position, and a statement describing the candidate’s interest and objectives in serving on the board

·       Photo for use with website communication and balloting process

·       A statement that attests that the candidate meets eligibility requirements

·       HIMSS membership number

 

The Nominating Committee will evaluate candidates based on eligibility and chapter policy. All eligible candidates will be included in the ballot.

All members of HIMSS in good standing are eligible to vote for the 2026-2028 Board of Directors. The election will be conducted electronically, and voting will be open from June 1 to June 9, 2026.
