President, Jefferson Health; Executive Vice President, Jefferson

Dr. Yehia joined Jefferson in 2023 and is the President of Jefferson Health and EVP of Jefferson. He was previously at Ascension Health, where he served as Senior Vice President of Ascension and President of Ascension Medical Group. Dr. Yehia is a passionate advocate for improving health in our communities.  With a focus on driving growth, accelerating transformation, and promoting exceptional quality, safety, and patient experiences across clinical integrated systems of care.  He has a track record of leading operations in complex, competitive markets; engaging teams around common goals; and advancing innovative approaches to achieve organizational outcomes.

Dr. Rising is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Population Health at Thomas Jefferson University and the Chief Medical Officer for the Jefferson Health IMPACT Institute, a health system-based, cross-pillar collaboration designed to catalyze efforts that advance care excellence. Initiatives within the Institute are centered on improving health, elevating care quality, and strengthening patient safety—ultimately driving better outcomes for patients and communities. This role builds upon prior work that Dr. Rising led from the position of Founding Executive Director in the Jefferson Center for Connected Care, a university-based research center focused on conducting action-oriented research to transform the patient voice into innovative and rigorously tested interventions, with the goal of changing systems of care. Current portfolios of focus include food is medicine, health related social needs, digital health equity, harm reduction for people who use drugs, and patient uncertainty related to acute care visits. She attended medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, completed emergency medicine residency at Boston Medical Center and obtained a Master’s of Science in Health Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania.

Ann Huffenberger – Director, Penn Center for Connected Care – Penn Medicine 

As Director of the Penn Center for Connected Care, Ann’s a visionary leader who has tactically instituted connected health operations to support patients across the care continuum at Penn Medicine. She oversees program development and business operations to ensure superior clinical outcomes and financial sustainability, and holds multi-program, multi-entity, and multi-state accountability. As chief implementer in operationalizing one of the largest connected health centers in the nation, Ann’s well-informed in the deployment of technologies, processes, and actions to advance strategic initiatives and promote prosperities in a value-based care environment. Ann’s passion for clinical excellence is the driving force in fostering her dynamic and efficient workforce who embraces the changes necessary in achieving the Quadruple Aim. Ann’s presented nationally on connected health operations and innovative change management, she’s received a wide range of awards and honors, and has contributed to many academic committees. Holding a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a master’s degree in business administration, and a doctorate in business administration, Ann is prepared to lead the organizational, transformational changes necessary to achieving prosperity in today’s challenging health care sector

Joshual Rosentel – Associate CNIO, Jefferson Health – LVHN 

Joshua Rosentel, MBA, BSN, CPHQ, is the AVP and Associate Chief Nursing Informatics Officer – Nursing Technology for Jefferson Health. In this role, he leads system-wide strategy and implementation of nursing-focused technologies, including virtual care, physiologic monitoring, and clinical workflow optimization across a multi-hospital health system. His work focuses on strengthening patient safety and care delivery through thoughtful, data-informed use of technology.

Bimal Desai – VP & Chief Health Infomatics Officer – CHOP

Dr. Bimal Desai is Vice President and Chief Health Informatics Officer at CHOP and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. A practicing pediatrician and clinical informaticist, he leads large-scale programs in clinical AI, pediatric telehealth, electronic consults, remote patient monitoring, and clinical decision support – with a focus on improving care quality, advancing research, and reducing clinician burden. He lectures nationally and internationally on the use of health IT to support clinical decision-making and care.

 Lee A. Fleisher, MD, ML is Founding Principal and CEO of Rubrum Advising and Emeritus Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care. From 2004 through July 2020, he was the Robert D. Dripps Professor and Chair of Anesthesiology and Critical Care and Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania where he oversaw the delivery of anesthesia care, critical care, and pain management. He is also a Senior Advisor to the Bipartisan Policy Council and Visiting Fellow of the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy, Senior Advisor for FasterCures at the Milken Institute, a member of the Health IT Advisory Committee (HITAC) of the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) and the AHA Patient Safety Initiative.. He was the former Chief Medical Officer and Director of the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) from 2020-2023. In his CMS role, Dr. Fleisher was responsible for executing all national clinical, quality, and safety standards for healthcare facilities and providers, as well as establishing coverage determinations for items and services that improve health outcomes for Medicare beneficiaries. Dr. Fleisher has received numerous honors including being elected to membership of the National Academy of Medicine (formerly Institute of Medicine) of the National Academy of Sciences in 2007 and serves on multiple Committees including the Board on Health Care Services. He received the Distinguished Alumni Award from SUNY in 2011. He received the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. He is an Affiliated Faculty of the Quattrone Center for the Fair Administration of Justice and completed a Masters in Law at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.

Mr. Hufford previously served as the vice president of Cooper Applications. His health career spans 15 years serving in a number of leadership roles.

Prior to joining Cooper, Mr. Hufford served as chief information officer at Memorial Health Care System, a community hospital in North Western Ohio. After Memorial Health Care was acquired by Promedica Health system, he served as assistant vice president of Revenue Cycle and Business Systems where he oversaw the implementation of Promedica Health’s electronic health records system. He has experience leading large teams within several areas of IT including clinical, revenue cycle, business systems, and technology. In addition to his experience working with health care providers, he has a background in consulting work where he executed IT strategic planning engagements, merger and acquisition evaluations, and post-merger integrations.

Since 2015, Mr. Hufford has led IT through several large scale implementations including telemedicine, revenue cycle and clinical optimizations, and the migration to cloud-based services. He is now leading a digital transformation initiative with the goal of providing excellent digital experiences for employees, providers, and patients.

Mr. Hufford obtained his undergraduate degree in information sciences from Drexel University and is currently pursuing an executive master of business administration degree from Drexel.

Known for his ability to make complexity digestible, Dr. Kapoor is a nationally recognized speaker on digital transformation, AI in healthcare, and the organizational shifts required to make innovation actually work.

Most recently, Dr. Kapoor served as Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Transformation Officer at Virtua Health, where he led the system’s enterprise digital strategy and helped reimagine how consumers, clinicians, and technology intersect across the care journey. During his 17-year tenure at Virtua, he also held executive leadership roles including Chief Medical Officer of Virtua’s multi-specialty medical group and Head of Population Health—bringing a rare operator’s perspective to transformation initiatives.

Dr. Kapoor trained in internal medicine at The George Washington University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident and Clinical Instructor. He earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, his undergraduate degree in Government and Chemistry from Cornell University, and his Executive MBA from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. He is a Health Management Academy GE Fellow and has been repeatedly recognized by Becker’s Healthcare as one of the nation’s top Digital Health Officers to Know.

Mike Kurliand  – Sr. Director Digital Health West Health

Michael Kurliand, MS, BSN, RN-BC, is Senior Director of Digital Health at West Health. He is a nurse and digital health leader with more than 25 years of experience helping healthcare organizations redesign care around what patients and care teams actually need. His work brings together AI, EHRs, and virtual care in ways that are practical, responsible, and grounded in clinical reality. Michael’s background spans pediatric, adult, and older-adult care across hospitals, ambulatory care, post-acute and long-term care, and home-based settings.

Sri Andusmalli – CHIO Penn Medicine

Dr. Andulsmalli the is Vice President and Chief Health Information Officer at Penn Medicine and an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine and Informatics at the University of Pennsylvania.

He previously served as Senior Medical Director of Health Informatics at CVS Health. Dr. Adusumalli earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, completed his Internal Medicine training at Massachusetts General Hospital, and later completed a cardiovascular fellowship plus two master’s degrees at Penn.

His work has focused on health informatics, digital transformation, telemedicine, clinical decision support, and clinical AI. He has also held several Penn leadership roles, including Assistant CMIO for Connected Health, Deputy Director of the Penn Medicine Nudge Unit, and founding Director of the Penn Center for Cardiovascular Informatics.
